Learning Communities

Learning Communities make a vital contribution to the learning map of Norfolk and we are proud to manage the seven Learning Communities across Norfolk as they continue to develop innovative and effective learning opportunities and partnerships.

 Despite a reduction in funding, the Learning Communities have continued to bring large numbers of learners, businesses, schools and communities together, each bringing its own distinctive approach.

In a recent evaluation of the Learning Communities it was noted that,

 "The real strength of the Norfolk learning communities lies in their diversity. Each is different, reflecting and responding to the make-up and needs of their local area. Each initiative is community led, has emerged spontaneously and reflects local needs and local partnerships. There is no overall template for their development and this ensures that they maintain a local and distinctive identity."
